As is vs To-Be

An as is system is an existing or a current state of system or process. The As-Issystem is the combination of people, processes, data, and technology thatcurrently perform the tasks and functions of the system under study. The As-Issystem may or may not incorporate computers.
A to be system is the one which is developed on the basis of the analysis done onthe current system which needs to be changed. The To-Be system is thecombination of people, processes, data, and technology that will perform therequired tasks and functions of the system under study
